I don't know if i can really say it's the start becasue photography has been a hobby of mine for about 5 years now, but i can say this is the start of a possible career path towards photography.
There's something really satisfying about getting that perfect shot and if you get the perfect one, it can make your day. I've found myself going to great lengths just to get a good picture, like an addiction almost. One time I was in the Mournes with my camera. I was at the top of Slieve Binnian and I seen this one flower hiding in a big crack towards the end on a cliff. I knew it was dangerous but I thought I NEED to take this picture or I'll be disappointed. So I climbed down the crack (No one had gotten this far to the edge).
I managed to get to the flower that had an awesome view behind it...Pictures turned out s*** so that was a big waste of time but the point is, I enjoy it to the point were I'm actually willing to put myself in danger, just to take a damn picture and I'll keep doing it.
My favourite type of picture is landscape, reflection and micro (texture) shots. My main style would be foreground photography.
